Use before Shaving

This is a great product, a little pricey for a bar of soap, but this is more than your ordinary bar of Ivory soap. After the first use you can tell this soap is getting you clean.
I also found out with experimentation that it is great soap to use before shaving. This how it works, quite simple really. Wash your face with Burt's Bee Men Bar Soap. I mean really wash your face good. Rinse your face leaving no soap. Then wash your face again where you shave only, face and neck, work up a decent lather and work the soap into your skin. Then use your shave cream over your lathered face with the Burt's Bees soap under your shave cream. I use a good shave cream, can't mention here because it is not a Burt's Bees product. Then simply shave as usual with your safety razor. You will be amazed on how close of a shave you will get. Never experienced a shave this close and I been shaving a long time. After the shave I use Burt's Bees Natural Men's Aftershave. I am sold on Burt's Bees products for men. Have to try their shaving cream next.

Great smell, no itching

I have used the bar soap for a couple of years now. I used to use conventional soap with chemicals that caused my back to itch (Lever). I was reluctant to change because it was otherwise very good soap. Weill I am glad I did and will not look back. Kind of funny for me to be excited about a soap but this one is worth every dime. I am clean, it has a good manly smell without being too strong and no itching! A great natural product.

Even though this product is marketed to males, I still use this product anyway. I love the woodsy, citrusy scent as I don't always want to smell insanely female! This product lathers so well and doesn't irritate my skin like a lot of very popular commercial products seem to do. It washes off clean and doesn't dry out my skin. My boyfriend has tried it and enjoys it very much too! Another male friend of mine has used it and doesn't irritate his skin like the other products he has tried in the past. They both like the lather effect and the aromas of the soap. What a great buy!

I found my soap!

I have been searching for a "new" soap for some time, having used the common soaps found in every store. I read all the reviews for this men's natural bar soap and decided to try it for myself.
Was I ever surprised after my first use! I have never seen a soap lather as much as this soap does, and the fragrance is very pleasing and refreshing! I do believe I have found "my" soap, great product!

Great essence & packaging.
Normal shower use, 7 times a week, this bar is gone within 3 weeks. How is that? Other soaps from Dial to local hand made smelly soaps last at least twice as long.

I expected this body soap bar to smell as wonderful as most of the Burt's Bee line. I was somewhat dissapointed that they seem to have dialed down the fragrance part of this bar. Otherwise it worked great, lathered well, rinsed well. I just wish it would have left me smelling as good as the shampoo bar or the Mint/Rosemary body bath wash.

My man & I are both sensitive to overpowering chemical smells. This soap has a nice masculine scent that is soothing not sickening.

I tried the new mens line and it's not nearly as good as the Bay Rum line. The fragrance is weak and does not last very long. Does not lather as well.

My husband loves this soap! Unfortunately, we are having a hard time locating it where we live, so we've turned to the burtsbees website. It's one of the only soaps he will use!

I have been using this bath soap for a couple of years and it does an outstanding job of cleansing without a residue. It also has a fresh,clean aroma without over powering.

I bought this bar for my fiancee for something easy to clean head-to-toe with. He likes simple, like most men. I LOOOVVEE the smell!! It's light, fresh but earthy and warm. It does an amazing job cleaning, yet non-drying, and no residue. It removed the grease after tinkering around on a car, but it still gentle, mositurizing, and nourishing to the skin

The soap works as described. It lathers well and has a good scent. I like the soap better than the Body Wash. Although both smell the same the lather is what makes the difference.

A nice bar soap that leaves my skin clean without any left over residue or dryness. It has a mild, almost lemony, scent that blends in with the other Burts Bees Men's line. Personally, I prefer the Bay Rum line but if you like a milder scent this one may be for you.

This is an excellent soap. Among the best quality of the many soaps I've sampled. It smells strong and alive. I never caught a hint of residue left behind.
Unfortunately, the bar of soap loses itself to water very quickly. It is an excellent soap, but when cost is factored in, it loses a lot. If you're goal is the finest natural soap money can buy, this is certainly among them. If you need something that lasts longer and gives more bank for the buck, there are alternatives.
It's great, really. If only it was affordable. If only the bar washed away more conservatively.
