Helps Acne Strong Smell

This acne product works quite well and I love the roll on stick so that you don't need any cotton balls to use it. However, it smells like lemon, alcohol, and oil. It almost has a hospital smell. If you can ignore that, then this is quite good.

This gets rid of blemishes quicker than anything that I have ever used. It has a strong smell however I can deal with that since it is a fabulous product.

Pros: Immediate results, Easy to use
This blemish stick has worked wonderfully on helping prevent blemishes from forming. I use it when I can feel the beginnings of a breakout, and it stops it before it becomes a problem. It's the best stop treatment I've used.

oh, yes, i use this for the occasional blemish--as a spot treatment. what i have found it to be EVEN BETTER for is the fine lines on my 50 year old face! it adds the firmness and removes the redness as promised. it ALWAYS cures the occasional blemish, but i now use it as my regular facial "serum!"

The price on this little tube is not worth it.
The smell is overbearing.
It didn't work at all on my breakouts after applying from my nightly cleansing, toning, and moisturizing.
The ball rollng thing gets dead skin & you see them floating around in the tube.
Would not reccommend.

Pros: Immediate results, Easy to use, Smells great, feels great on skin, quality ingredients
Burts Bees produces awesome stuff, but the blemish stick is my absolute favorite!! I am 32 and have occasional breakouts. I use this stuff and the next morning I am cleared up. It isn't oily and has a refreshing feel on your skin. It is so amazing!

i have been strugling with my acne forever! ive tried everything. i saw this at the store and thought to give it a try since i loved everthing else ive tried from Burts Bees and i love it!!! love love love it!!! this actually the first product ive used that really works right away i saw noticably softer clearer skin by the 3rd day! it smells amazing may be over powering for some and it doesnt leave my skin oily which is the problem with other products. its light and refreshing all day. it has a slight stinging tingling feeling when you first put it on and i love that feeling. the feel of it working. i have also seen the milky coloring at the end of the tube from the dread skin at the very end of the tube i just shake it and it turns back to normal. ive told all my friends about this and they love it too hoprully you will to try it i promise youlll love it i do!!!

Great product, one little issue

I love this product! Love, love, love it! I have told many of my friends and family members to try the product for themselves. It does sting a bit, but that means it's working!!! It's worth it! The smell is good, but maybe a bit overpowering for some.
There is one issue I find with with the blemish Stick. The roller applicator is good, but I find even after cleansing my skin, there seems to be a good amount out dead skin, oil and debris that gets trapped in the liquid in the container. At the end of the bottle, the treatment liquid gets very murky and almost yellowish-white in color. I hope there can be some design improvements on this product's applicator.
This by far is the best "on-the-spot" treatment.
If you really want to clear up mild acne in combination with this product follow a good and healthy diet, drink lots of water and exercise regularly - and I mean sweating! Try hot yoga!

When I first used this stuff years ago, it was from a mini gift pack, so the roller was much smaller and after buying the full version realized it was a little more difficult. You will get the stuff dripping down your face no matter where you think you're putting it, so I end up just rubbing it around the general area.
If you've been messing with the blemish, this stuff will definitely burn. The smell is very potent (to me it's like a strong licorice smell) so if you're using this stuff around your nose, hold your breath before applying and fan your face till it dries! It will also burn your eyes (not the product but the smell) so close your eyes and rub it in quickly. The odor really will take your breath away and affect your eyes like onions.
Well no one ever said acne treatment was pleasant... as others have said this product is not a cure-all but if you've got that one big blemish this stuff will definitely dry it out. I'm a picker (working on that) but ideally, you use this stuff directly around your issue, ASAP, every day and every night, don't touch, and your blemish will flake off and you can actually look in the mirror and see the progress. No picking! :)

Effective spot treatment

This is a great spot treatment, and if your skin is like mine and not too sensitive, you can use it for all-over prevention. When I do need it for treatment, blemishes are cleared within a couple of days. I use the blemish stick with other Burt's Bees cleansers and toners for total treatment. The roller applicator is convenient and easy to use. This product is extremely potent and will clear your sinuses. The fragrance is nice, but it's not enough to mask some of the other ingredients. Overall it's great and highly recommended!

Excellent topical treatment but use with caution

This is a very powerful product that dries up blemishes in a couple of days. You can see its effect after a few hours. I have used prescription medication for acne, and this product is at the very least as effective as the topical treatments I have used.
This will not do much for blackheads/whiteheads, will not clear up scarring or treat an acne condition. It really is a very specific topical treatment for blemishes.
It can burn a bit if applied on injured blemishes (yes, I had that bad habit, trying to lose it), but only slightly tingles if applied on uninjured skin.
I like its herbal fennel seed smell, but it can be quite strong. The roll-on bottle makes it easy to use, but the flow can sometimes be a bit too much and release a lot of product.
A few inconvenient aspects:
- it does cause redness/irritation (my skin is sensitive), which can be annoying when you have several blemishes to treat
- the roll-on device catches dead cells/other stuff that then accumulate at the bottom of the bottle, and I still don't know how to get around that problem
- it's always sold out when I try to buy it online!!

Surprising Results

I love the herbal blemish stick. Now that I am older, I want something gentle yet effective...and I love that this product works while using only natural ingredients. It doesn't dry out my skin and really clears up the occasional zit.

I've tried several other blemish treatments in the past, all of which made the problem worse. Then I found Burt's blemish stick. I roll this on a a couple of times a day and the problem spots heal up in just a few days, with noticeable results that same day! It can sting a little if the area is especially sensitive, but it's well worth it!

Natural Ingredients at their BEST!

I have very gentle skin and I rarely have breakouts. However, when I do, I find that the harsh chemical gels and washes found at the drugstore - the ones that promise to clear up problem areas - only dry out my skin and cause more distress. This blemish stick is my savior!
If I start to notice a bump, blemish or any swelling, I lightly wash my face with the peppermint rosemary soap and apply some of this godsend - problem solved! I don't look like I'm wearing acne cream so I can even apply it in the morning under makeup! My boyfriend has no idea and even comments that I smell delicious, like licorice!
Love this product. MUST try, you'll NEVER buy another acne product again!

I love this stuff! It really does what it says, reduces redness and inflammation and makes the zits go away! I have a problem with other spot treatments drying out problem areas to the point where they get flaky and look just as terrible, but this does not do that. As other reviewers have mentioned, skin and hair can get trapped in the bottle, which is kind of gross. Also, sometimes you get one with a bad ball that doesnt roll very well.
