Incredible cleanser!!!

I have really oily skin so I was skeptical about this cleanser but I read other reviews and some of the reviewers said it helped their oily skin. So I bought it and man were they right!!! I haven't had hardly a blemish (I always get one or two right before or after my period, that's how my hormones work) since I started using it and I also use it with the Garden Tomato Toner which gets off any residue the cleanser may have left behind. (All cleansers leave residue, I know that because of the kind of skin I have) it is amazing, although I would not use it to take off makeup. I use the Soap Bark and Camomille Cleanser to do that. I use it in the morning before I apply my makeup and my skin has never looked better. If you have problem skin like mine, I would totally recommend this product along with the Tomato toner. It works perectly!

I've got dry skin that breaks out when it gets too dry. I was using another brand that worked but I wasn't satisfied with it. I picked up this face wash because I enjoy other Burt's Bees products. This product works and I love it!

I love this facial cleanser from Burt's! Cleans wonderfully, never makes my face feel dry, and it's 100% natural. Not to mention it smells FANTASTIC - like somebody is peeling an orange right there in the shower. When I first got my trial size in my grab bag I wasn't sure about it because it has oil in it, but since I don't have oily skin I gave it a try. It maybe takes a little more to rinse off than my old cleanser, but I never feel oily afterward and it doesn't seem to leave any sort of residue at all. I'm working my way through my first full-size tube and I will most definitely be buying it over again when I run out. Love this stuff!

When I first tried this I thought, how is this supposed to take makeup off your face?! But I tried it regardless. When I got out of the shower my face was so clean and so moisturized I couldn't believe it. Still thinking maybe I had residual makeup, I wiped with a cleansing towelette and my face had no trace of makeup left. I'm amazed by this product. I have SUPER BAD combination skin that gets occasional breakouts and this is the best cleanser I've used. I still can't wrap my head around how amazing it is on dry/oily skin. I don't even look at new products anymore because I've FINALLY found what works.

It's a miracle!

First my initial experience was not a good one. I purchased this product on a whim. I tried it and freaked out that my skin felt like an oil slick and immediately washed with my normal cleanser. THIS WAS NEARLY A YEAR AGO. Lately I have been reading about fighting oil with oil (i have oily acne prone skin with dry areas) and found a few reviews of other oil type cleansers. They all said amazing things about their experiences. so i thought okay Burt! lets try this again! i have been using Orange essence for almost two weeks now and my skin is AMAZING!!!! Its hydrated, less oil, few to almost no breakouts. The most amazing things besides that it smells so delicious is that my blackheads come out so easily now. without effort. Wish that i would have stuck with it the first go around.

Don't Rush to Conclusions!

I have difficult skin: Although it is oily, I still end up with mildly flakey skin around my T-zone. I know from having three kids and a clumsy husband that when trying to remove an oily stain from their clothing, I need to remember that oil removes oil. So, when I saw this product I decided to try it. Like everyone else has said, it smells amazingly good. The oils did remain on my skin after I washed and rinsed which made me feel a bit nervous at first. However, I gave myself time to get used to this new post-wash feeling and I don't regret it!! My skin has a smoother appearance, is slightly less oily looking than before, the dry spots are gone AND it is much softer.
My advice? No matter how you would describe your skin, try this product and give yourself time to get used to the new way it feels!!

I actually want to stock up on this cleanser. I use a wet face brush to massage into my skin and as a result it foams up for easy rinsing. It also provides enough moisture for my combo/sensitive skin without it feeling greasy.

Love this product. At first when I used it I noticed that it really doesn't lather up at all. However, it smells great and leaves the skin clean. But I was most amazed the next morning, when my skin was super soft and moisturized -I hadn't moisturized, just used this cleanser! I love this stuff!

This product did not work for me. It left a oily film on my skin, and my face did not feel clean or refreshed. I prefer the Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream. I would not recommend it to people with normal or oily skin.

I started using this after trying many different cleaning products on the market ranging from the most pricey boutique brands to drugstore cheapies. This is the best! It smells great, has no artificial ingredients, and my skin feels clean, soft and fresh afterwards. The product is also gentle and does not sting my eyes or make my skin feel tight.

I've been looking for a cleanser that won't irritate my skin, but will hydrate and improve the dryness and this one is perfect. It is amazing for dry skin, but definitely not for oily skin. It doesn't create a lather, which at first left me with a feeling of not being cleaned all the way, but I got over that because it does a great job. It smells really good and left my face with an amazing natural glow.

Excellent Moisture

This cleanser was an excellent transition for my skin from the basic Tomato Bar. My skin has transitioned from really oily to combination as it has aged to my late twenties. The Orange Essence cleanser is a great start to my day. The scent wakes me up and the orange oils moisturize my skin and leave it feeling soft all day. At night it takes off my makeup in a snap. I love this stuff!

I just tried this the other day, and I adore it. Most cleaners don't exactly dry out my skin, but it just feels like I didn't clean it. The orange essence face wash made my face feel clean and moisturized, and it feels and smells like I just put on orange lotion!! I don't plan on using anything else besides this from now on.
The only con is that it may be a bit too moisturizing for some skin types.

I have normal to dry skin so this sounded like a good cleanser to try. I usualy wipe off my make up prior to cleaning my face. The oil in this cleanser did feel moisterizing. Though the oil did not rinse off and when i used my toner after it didnt look like it cleaned my skin at all! I had to use another cleanser after. A waste of money.

Great for Cleansing and Moisturizing

I received this product as a birthday gift and have loved it ever since. The desert climate is horrible for skin since it dries it out and you need to cleanse. However, this product is gentle enough for my extremely sensitive skin and it leaves it feeling cleansed but also well hydrated. You do not need to use a lot only about the size of a nickel and it leaves my skin feeling moisturized all day even against the harsh sun. It has a very delightful natural orange smell that is even more refreshing with the steam of the shower. It does seem to leave a thick filmy type feeling on the face after washing but that leaves once the skin is fully dry. I would highly recommend this product for people looking for all day hydration from a facial cleanser.

This is the first Burt's Bees cleanser I tried. I saw immediate results. It is gentle, yet effective, and smells wonderful. The oils in it really make my skin feel soft and nourished, not dry like most chemical-based cleansers I've tried in the past. I still use this product as well as other Burt's Bees products and swear by them. My skin has never looked as good as it does now thanks to Burt's Bees.

It took me a long time to realize this, but my face breaks out if there is ANY type of acid in the face wash. Even when I use organic face wash like burts bees willowbark and peach scrub or say yes to tomatoes face wash I would still get bumps under my skin and I didn't understand why.
When I saw the orange essence cleanser was 100% organic I gave it a try and WOW. After 2 weeks my face was completely bump free and so so so smooth. I literally dont even put concealer on anymore, that's how great this face wash has made my skin. I recommend it to anyone and everyone...especially for people who get bumps under there skin and don't know why!

PERFECT CLEANSER!! The smell is amazing. My skin doesn't feel tight after I use this product, so I can actually wash my face all I want (with most cleansers my face dries out if I wash it more than once a day). I don't get any type of weird residue after I use it. My skin feels very soft and smooth afterwards. Two big thumbs up!

I have fairly sensitive skin and all the cleansers i tried dried out my face. But this works AMAZING! It smells good, my skin feels really refreshed afterwards, and doesn't leave any residue. It's also gentle so i can wash my face with it day and night!
