I was skeptical and then happy after one use. I, too, thought that I needed more of this product to get it to lather, but I realized that what I needed more of was water, not shampoo, which created a luxurious lather.
I like the mild fragrance as I am sensitive to strong smells. I use this product twice a week and really enjoy the shiny results.

This product does exactly what a shampoo should do; strip the hair of all the excess oil. This means that after you wash it out, your hair will feel very dry. I found it a bit off putting at first, but after I conditioned and my hair dryed, my hair was shiny and had volume to it! I don't find the smell to be to pleasing, thankfully it is not as over powering as the rasberry shampoo.

Cons: didn't lather well
The smell is great, it leaves my hair feeling very nice--smooth and shiny-- but it didn't lather up very much at all. I had to use a lot of it in order to feel like I was getting my hair clean.

I was really skeptical about switching shampoos because I have oily hair and a lot of shampoos leave my hair gross feeling. But not this one!! It cleans my hair squeaky clean and shiny! Not switching for the world!!

Too Drying

Way to drying for my hair. After one bottle my ends were very dry and brittle. (I have very thick very dry hair). It's probably just my hair type but I wont be buying this again. It might work for fine or oily hair though.

I really love this product. It cleaned my hair and made it feel a little more full and much more healthy. Works much better than fancy synthetic products. I think the smell could be a little better but when i asked some very blunt people to smell my hair they said it smelled great. my hair loves this shampoo!

I was hesitant to purchase this shampoo so I bought a travel pack with it included. I have full, dry and curly hair that tends to be a bit dull. While actually washing my hair it was kind of rough and hard to handle but once I followed with the matching conditioner and got out of the shower I was wowed! My hair was surprisingly manageable and tangle free. Once my hair was completely dry it was full bodied, soft and SHINY! I could actually see my natural highlights. The best part yet is it seems to have cleared up some dry scalp issues and actually allows me awesome second-day hair! My hair today looks better than yesterday almost. I was a skeptic but now I'm a believer.

This is great shampoo... my hair looks and feels so shiny and healthy! I have noticed a difference with this natural shampoo and the condition of my hair as compared to a regular chemical based shampoo. Great product!

Thoroughly cleanses hair and removes styling products. Only shampoo that doesn't irritate my very sensitive scalp, but haven't tried other Burt's shampoos. Leaves hair feeling a little dry, but the More Moisture conditioner adds back moisture.

Cons: shampoo is very runny
I got a good deal with buying a value pack of both shampoo and conditioner set in this scent. I wash my hair everyday so don't need extra moisturizing shampoo and thought to give this a try. I love the smoothing effect the shampoo has right away when I lather. My hair is definitely shiny after use and very smooth when running my hand through it. The only downside is I didn't expect the shampoo to be so runny in consistency making you feel like you have to use more than you have to. I will definitely be trying other shampoos/conditioners in the Burt's Bee line.

Relief at last!

My scalp had been suffering with what seemed to be a chemical irritation. I looked for a shampoo with more natural ingredients and thought about Burt's Bees products. I tried this Grapefruit and Sugar Beet shampoo and have found it to be just the relief I "sorely" needed. Within a week of daily use the irritation was gone! My hair feels good and looks good too. The scent is a clean scent, I like the grapefruit and citrus scent, not overly perfumed. A great plus: my graying hair is shiny! Also, a tiny bit of shampoo goes a long way, I use less shampoo nowadays. Thanks for a great product.

I loooove this shampoo because I'm a sucker for anything citrus. This and another brand's lemon shampoo are the only ones I use but I really loooove the grapefruit scent!
The shampoo cleans and lathers well enough although I do tend to shampoo twice but I like that inspite of that my hair doesn't feel stripped. Does a good job of making my hair feel clean but neither still greasy nor dry.
As for the shiny, well that's a plus.

I bought this becs the scent was gender neutral for my husband and I. i warned him that it will not lather and foam like mainstream shampoos and not to use too muc for it takes adjusting. My hair was so clean and shiny afterwards i was plesantly shocked.

I have a body wave, and wanted to go "Sulfate free". Heard this was very gentle.
It cleans great, but left my hair very dry and hard to comb even with the conditioner.
On a possitive note, my scalp feel great! Doesn't get itchy.
I'm not giving up on Burts Bees yet. Maybe one of the more moisturizing products would be better for me.

Nice Shampoo

This shampoo gets my hair squeaky clean. I use Super Shiny Grapefruit & Sugar Beet Shampoo and Conditioner because it makes my hair hair so soft afterwards. I love how my hair looks in the sun, so shiny! My hair is straight and on the short side of the spectrum, I don't blow-dry or color my hair. So this shampoo is perfect for me since I don't need added moisture.

I have long, very straight, not really coarse or fine brown hair with notorious flyaways. I have been searching for hair products without SLS, which irritates and dries out my hair and skin, and my main requirement beyond that is shine enhancement and smoothing properties. My hair looks like glass when I use this combined with the conditioner. I love them. It is best used daily for me, to maintain a nice balance between moisture and slipperiness, but I can go a few days without looking at all like I have.
Last time I ran out I got the moisturizing raspberry shampoo instead, which does smell heavenly, let alone better; but moisturizing shampoos do a funny thing to my hair: they make it coarse and frizzy. I'm an oily person, don't really need extra moisture. :) Will be sticking with the grapefruit. Love that I can get it pretty much anywhere!!

I love this shampoo. I have very curly, very thick hair that tends to get dry and is easily damaged so, around 3 months ago, I decided to go completely sulfate-free with this shampoo.
The results have been amazing. My hair is much healthier, softer, and shinier.
I definitely recommend this shampoo, but I do not recommend that anyone wash hair daily, not even with this mild shampoo. It ends up drying out your hair. I only wash my hair twice a week, or 3 times during the summer.

Not Very Moisterizing

tried this one after I finished my bottle of the More Moisture Rasberry shampoo to see which one I liked better and this one lost. It left my hair super clean, but not moisturized at all, unlike the other shampoo. After getting about halfway through the bottle I noticed that my hair has been breaking off more than ever ! I have damaged hair from flat ironing my hair everyday so I need that extra moisture to prevent breakage. I did however make my hair smoother and a little shinier. I will probably only use this again on occasion in between using the More Moisture shampoo, since this stuff is too drying for long-term use.

Great Lather

I enjoyed the lather and shine that this product has, but I really don't enjoy the smell so much. The shampoo really does a great job of cleaning your hair.
