The Ingredients HAVE NOT changed.
March 3, 2010
Pros: Not greasy, Thick, Smells great
Reading these reviews, I was suprised by how many people complained about how the ingredients in this product have changed and how the texture is different, etc. These are completely false! The cream is as thick, and delicious as it was when it first came out, and the smell is just as sweet and pleasant as the first time I used the product. There is NO DIFFERENCE. This is still a wonderful product for dry hands.

Definitely Changed!
February 26, 2010
Cons: Too light
I totally agree with the comment 'itchy' made below. I bought this handcream years ago because I wash my hands a lot and they tend to get dry. I love the fact that it was oily because after one use my hands would be moisturized for practically the entire day. I bought another one two days ago and I noticed right away that it was a lot lighter and I constantly had to reapply it. I don't think i'll be purchasing another one after this runs out unless they switch back to the old ingredients!

works but don't use in public!
February 20, 2010
Pros: Not greasy
Cons: Unpleasant smell
I just bought this and am pleased with the moisturizing results. I live in a dry climate and get cracks in skin around my fingernails. The smell, however, is VERY strong and not a very pleasant fragrance. I'm not sensitive to fragrances but I can't advocate using this in public because everyone within a city block will be able to smell it. Based on other comments, looks like they've recently changed the formula - used to be a lavender fragrance? Maybe they'll change it back!

Lost another Star
January 20, 2010
Cons: expensive, misleading
The formula is totally changed. I am a sheet-rocker and mudding dries out my hands. It used to be super awesome after a long day of washing tools. My husband is a ceramicist and it was great after throwing on the wheel.
The new formula is about as good as Suave.

Say Good Bye!
January 18, 2010
Cons: Unpleasant smell, Too light
This was my favorite product for years. It smelled delicious, looked like butter, didn't leave a greasy feel and was the only product that truly saved my working hands every winter. But alas, it's now STINKY, GREASY and DOESN'T DO THE JOB.
Waste of money.

They changed the formula
January 15, 2010
Cons: Unpleasant smell
I have been buying this product because I LOVED it. I loved the fragance and the way it healed my dry hands and elbows. However, I just bought a new tube and the formula has been changed. It doesn't smell, feel, or work the same. I am truly disappointed.

The best
January 5, 2010
Cons: Unpleasant smell
This stuff is absolutely the best-although it stinks to high heaven! I still gave it a 5 star rating, because it's that good and, fortunately, the smell does not linger. It's gone in no time. I can't imagine anyone actually likes the smell! Try it, you'll be amazed with the results!

Excellent for sensitive skin
December 22, 2009
Pros: Not greasy, Thick, Smells great, Soothing
Cons: pricey
I haven't ever reviewed a cosmetic product, but this is the best I have found for my skin type. It is pricey, but has been worth it. I have extremely dry, itchy and sensitive skin. It is very easily irritated! This cream is so soothing and moisturizing - lavender is very calming to the skin and the senses as well. Very highly recommended. I gave it four stars only because of the price.

Lots of compliments!
December 20, 2009
Pros: Thick, Smells great, needs very little, smell is long-lasting
Cons: separates when unused for a while
I have owned this for about three years now. Just recently, my mother-in-law came over as I was taking it out of my cupboard. I put some on as we were visiting, and she actually stopped the conversation because the smell was so wonderful, she had to know what I had put on. It has a VERY strong beautifully fragrant smell of rose and lavender. Those are definitely the strong notes you pick up. Also, the smell and creaminess get stronger the more you work it into your skin.

the best hand cream ever
December 15, 2009
Pros: Not greasy, Thick, Smells great, all natural, not animal tested
honestly, i've tried many lotions and oils, creams and scrubs. because i wash my hands alot where i work, and in general, they tend to get very dry and itchy. the only thing i recently noticed was that i think my hand cream expired. it's so good i only have to use a little everyday, or every other day. the wonderful smell has gone a little bit away and i found mold in the cap. i mean not a lot but definately moldy. i think it expired. are there expiration dates on these things?

Great Stuff
December 9, 2009
Pros: Thick
Cons: Unpleasant smell
I got a Burt's Bees variety pack from my mother in law and while the other products were nice, this is the one that keeps my skin from getting dry and crackly. I put it on my hands from the elbows down after every shower, and just ordered 4 more tubes.
I have to agree with reviewers who say that it's stinky. It smells like the old Sea&Ski suntan lotion. I don't care, the smell doesn't linger but the moisturizing lasts all day, unlike any other product I tried.

This product is indeed creamy and my hands felt nice but it smells so BAD that I had to wash it off. Yuck. I am returning it tomorrow. I'm bummed, I really wanted to like it!

Incredible Results!
September 21, 2009
Pros: Not greasy, Thick, Smells great, fast acting
I have had horribly dry cracked skin in the crease of my thumb for over 2 years now. I have tried everything on the face of the sun to get rid of this burden. I can never seem to have it get better, and stay better. This is the first product I've had work on my skin, and continue working. Thank you thank you thank you! Now I can shake hands with people without being embarrassed! You work wonders Burt's Bees!

Pros: Thick, Smells great
I use this hand cream every night before I go to bed. It makes my hands feel great! I wash my hands a lot at work and using this cream helps my hands stay moisturized. It also helps decrease my eczema breakouts on my hands which is amazing!

Soothing
September 9, 2009
Pros: Thick, Smells great
I find this creme very soothing, especially when my hands get dry due to over-heated dry air inside in the winter or the abuse my hands take due to sailing. I like this product a lot. My only small complaint is that I like it so much I want to use it at work but since it is thicker, it does take a little longer to soak in which can make my fingers a little greasy for typing for a few minutes. Wait, maybe that is a good thing as I then usually go to chat with my coworkers for a few minutes. I take that back, it's not even a mild compliant!

Instantly silky hands
September 4, 2009
I bought this based on some reviews that I read here and was pleased with the smoothing effect that it has had on my hands. The cream is not too greasy and very light which is a big plus.
My only complaint is the smell. I'm not a big fan of lavender so this particular fragrance isn't my favorite. But thankfully it's not too overpowering.
