1st Burt's Bee Product I Purchased
March 15, 2010
Pros: Feels great
Cons: Taste
This was my first Burt's Bee's product. It is unlike any other lip balm. It does not dry out your lips and make you feel like you need to put on more in 20 min (like the others). This particular lip balm doesn't taste like anything to me. The smell isn't bad or good. I do like BB lip balm with pomegranate oil better. With that being said I did tell a lot of people about it when I first bought it b/c it is like no other. I started with this product and have now purchased more from BB. This product helped make me a fan.

Pros: Feels great, Looks great
I received this Honey balm in a gift package. I was pleasantly surprised. It is much more moisturizing than the original. It has a pleasant Honey scent and stays on a while.

Bad Reformulation
February 18, 2010
The web site's description of this item states that this lip balm has shea butter, almond oil, and cocoa butter. This was true of the original Honey Lip Balm, but the new packaging does not have any of these ingredients on the ingredients list. This new formulation tastes and smells terrible and isn't nearly as moisturizing and soothing as the original formulation. Please go back to the original!!!

Can't Get Over the Smell
February 16, 2010
Pros: Feels great
Cons: Texture, Taste
Yuck! This product has the worst smell/taste. It's dark white color shows through on your lips. Instead of coming out clear, as the original Burt's Bees lip balm (which I absolutely love) does, it adds a chalky white color to your lips. Absolutely gross, I would not buy again!

Love it, but no taste :(
February 14, 2010
Pros: Feels great, long wearing
Cons: Taste
I gotta say I think I like this Honey Balm better than the original. It has a great heavy texture and lasts forever, even through drinking and eating. Can't really see it once you put it on though. It smells like real honey should- not artificially sweet. The only thing that disappointed me was that it didn't taste like honey. I's still recommend it anyway.

Pretty Good
February 13, 2010
Pros: Feels great, Looks great, moisturizing
Cons: smells strange
This lip balm does slightly smell like honey, but its sort of strange. It doesn't exactly smell bad to me but it doesn't smell amazingly good. That could be improved. But it is moisturizing but not as long lasting as the other lip balms.

Nice twist on the classic lip balm
February 10, 2010
Pros: Feels great, smell
I am a Classic lip stash girl, but I love this lip balm as well. It goes on just as smooth and leaves your lips feeling soft. The scent is soft and smells like a jar of honey.

Pros: Feels great

It works great, but I can't quite get past the strange scent. It's very moisturizing, but in all honesty, I prefer the original beeswax lip balm.

Good balm, bad smell.
February 4, 2010
Cons: Texture, scent
I do like this lip balm, but it's a bit sticky for me and the smell is not appealng to me. I would expect it to smell like honey, since that is the name of the balm.
It also is not as long lasting as the pomegranate one, but it's gets the job done when I'm not wearing lipcolor.

Stinky
January 23, 2010
When my local pharmacy was out of both regular and Lifeguard's Choice, I bought a tube of this - thinking Honey would have the most innocuous smell. WRONG! I wore it for an hour, and my husband complained the whole time about the smell. It's so strong and stinky we really couldn't keep it in the house. Took it back to the drugstore and they refunded my money; but I don't know whether they'll pass on the message to BB. Guess all these fruity/flowery scents are aimed at adolescent girls; but I'm much happier with unscented products.

Strong smell, but good product.
January 12, 2010
Pros: Feels great
Cons: Taste
I'll admit, the smell was very overwelming at first, but after a couple days of using it I barley notice the smell. It actually smells like honey to me now. And once you get past the smell, it works wonders. I can't use anything other than natural chapstick now.

Like Honey On My Lips...Literally
January 7, 2010
Pros: Feels great, Smells great
Cons: Texture
I’m pretty much obsessed with BB, I rant and rave about them all the time. I LOVE their products! I got this in my stocking this year for Christmas…and I have to say…I fell in love. Smells like honey; sweet and softly floral. One of my new fav’s from BB. Anything honey…I’m in!

Smells/Tastes like Baby Powder not Honey
December 29, 2009
Cons: Taste, smell
I've purchased this product in the past and was very pleased with it - viewing it as my favorite lip balm. I bought some for stocking stuffers and 2 tubes for myself as I was almost out - and was HORRIFIED by the smell of it. It is not the same product. I opened both tubes that were mine and both smelled like baby powder - more like an anti-persperent than a lip balm. My husband sitting next to me on the couch even noticed the smell and thought it was disgusting and strong. Of course, smell affects the taste of food, so food I was eating tasted wrong also. I'm very disappointed in the formula change and wish they would go back to the older version that tasted great and smelled subtly of honey. I called the company to report the complaint and was advised I could ship it back for a replacement of another kind or a refund if I had the receipt. Now I'm wishing I hadn't given any of it away in stockings.

Smell is unbearable.
December 13, 2009
Pros: Feels great
Cons: Taste, smell
I know I'm being harsh, but the smell on this one product is unpleasant. I LOVE Burt's products and I'm loyal to the original-- I'm more of a tin girl than a stick girl. This one comes in packs of 3, so I sometimes have to deal when it comes with another product I like. Can the smell improve? Please?
