not great color

Cons: Texture, color was weird, expensive
i didn't care for the two colors that i purchased, which i think were guava + rhubarb. they went on like a colored soft chapstick lip balm and i guess i was hoping for more of a lipstick or lipgloss texture. sad to say that i won't be buying these again, although i like the natural ingredients. they were fairly expensive too, considering.

I love this product and I've been using it for 4-5 years. They stopped selling the color in my area so I went online to restock my supply. I've bought 4-6 other glosses with color and they don't come close to this one. And I love the peppermint oil feel.

Vick's Vapor Rub

I like the texture & color (Rhubarb) but what is with Burt's Bee's lip products? Every one I have tried feels like I have Vick's Vapor Rub on. Peppermint oil, maybe?
Although my nose felt clearer wearing this ':-/
it is too much for me and I will have to hand this off to my daughter who loves all Burt's Bee's lip balm.

This looks great (and when you get a few different colors you can combine them, which looks pretty cool) but I find it doesn't last long and isn't very moisturizing. To fix the moisturizing issue I put the lip shimmer over BB's beeswax chapstick and it works like a charm :)

Burts Bees Merlot Lip Shimmer has been my only lip gloss since the first time I tried it many years ago. It is the PERFECT creamy texture, and I love the cocoa flavor, and the peppermint tingles my lips the perfect amount.
The shop clerks tell me it is being discontinued, and I cannot find it anymore. The closet colors (Fig, Raisen), do not work for me. I therefore just ordered 50 Merlot Lip Shimmers online! I hope they last long enough for me to find a suitable replacement, but I'm not sure I will.

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmers are one of the only products I put on my lips. I have thrown out all of my other toxic lip colors and strictly use the Lip Shimmer:
I am fair skinned and found a wide range of the colors look good on me. I alternate between:
Champagne
Guava
Watermelon
Rhubarb
Raisin
Guava
Watermelon
Rhubarb
Raisin
I can't wait to try Peony and Caramel!

I love this stuff! My favorite color is Papaya and it looks good on everybody. All my friends ask to borrow it and I love it! It lasts a long time and has the best color ever. It lasts long and makes my lips soft and smooth. This is way better then lipstick.

I was never a fan of lipstick because it seemed no matter what the brand, it was always heavy and wore strangely on the lips. This stuff is the total opposite. It's smooth, glides easily, morturizes, isn't sticky, doesn't feather and the color is just perfect for my lighter skin tone.

I love the lip shimmers and keep them on me at all times. I used to chew my lips and suffer from terribly dry and cracked lips all winter long. I no longer do - my lips stay soft and supple. And I love the colors - very sexy.

I have always been wary of lip color, but this product is so great. It doesn't chap my lips, doesn't bleed, doesn't settly into those little lines on my lips, doesn't smear out onto the corners, and lasts forever! I have this in Fig, and the picture is inaccurate. In real life, it is much more of a purpley-red shade, almost like a pomegranate. I have really fair skin, and it goes great! I love it! :)

I bought 10 tubes of Lip Shimmer in the Merlot shade directly from the company because it has been discontinued. I have been wearing that shade for several years and don't want to change.

I love the lip shimmer.. so much that I can't stand the way "regular" lipstick feels on my lips now.. I have almost every color and wear it every day! I feel good knowing it is good for my lips and there are no synthetic ingredients.. Keep up the good work Bur's Bees! LOVE your products.
