Bay Rum has a rich and almost a dark rum smell to it, it's easy to spray too much so I recommend 1-2 sprays at first. I put 4 sprays and had my whole office noticing me, so not a good idea. I like Burts Bees Natural Colonge better because of it's natural smells which have a citrus type smell and seem to be more noticable to women which is a big +. I don't regret buying the Bay Rum and probably will buy another in the future because of it's unique smell.
My husband loves the Bay Rum Cologne and so do I. It is fresh smelling and sexy too. Thank goodness we can buy it on the website. There are very few stores that carry this product. It is worth every penny we paid. Thank you Burt's Bees!
You can stop your search for Bay Rum cologne right here: It doesn't get better than this. It's mouth-watering...like Juicy Fruit. But be careful! A little goes a long way...and it lasts forever. You don't "splash" this one on. If you do, you'll have "little wavy lines" coming off of you for a week. Excellent product.
Pros: Refreshing, Smells great, for the manly man, smells like yummy rum!
My wife loves this cologne. Bay Rum Cologne is suttle and has its own distinct smell. Not like most men's cologne that a few smell the same and so typical. Burt's Bay Rum Cologne is for the "manly man" as my wife calls it. It is for down to earth, athletic and confident men who don't need a "typical commercial" type of cologne. Goes great too with the Bay Rum Soap.
I have looked for a good cologne that I could stand smelling, and others around me would like. This stuff does that. I like it every now and then I smell where I have sprayed it because I like the scent. It is a bit strong right out of the bottle but mellows out and has a nice smell through out the day.
It has an interesting fragrance; it is a little more natural smelling than other bay rums. It is strong when you first put it on, but seems to dissipate after a while. Especially for the price, it is definitely worth it.
I tried the new men's line of products and there ok but nowhere as good as the bay rum line. This cologne may seem strong at first but really last a long time without being over powering like most cologne. Gives you a really fresh clean smell.
Cons: the cap seems to leak when i pack it in my shaving
I have been looking for a good everyday cologne through the latest fad jungle and have been disappointed. If only Calvin, Giorgio, and Hugo Boss spent as much on making a good fragrance as their marketing budget…Anyhow I found the Bay Rum while looking to order a Burt’s tin (I am a lipaholic) I really like the great fragrance which reminds me of the South Pacific. The best thing is I don’t smell like I fell out of a GQ mag.
I purchased this for my husband for our anniversary. We both really enjoy the Bay Rum Cologne, it is a scent that is long lasting but not over-powering. We trust Burt's Bees products to be consistantly true to description, and at an affordable price Burt's Bees products can't be beat!
My husband has been using the bay rum products for years. We both love the scent. I hate perfumey and overly citrus smelling colognes; so this is perfect. People identify him by his Burt's Bay Rum.
This cologne has a good, solid scent. A little goes a long way, but it's not overpowering and mellows quickly once applied. It's also gentle on the skin and seems less prone to irritating people with sensitivities to synthetic colognes and perfumes.
Best true "Bay Rum" cologne available. Has an initial strong bite of a deep spicy bay fragrance with cinnamon, then pepper, then orange undertones. It then mellows to a warm bay rum fragrance. I have literally tried all that you can buy in the store or on line. Most fade away very quickly (aftershaves) or the only other strong scent (found in drugstores) smells very cheap after a while. This one lasts and smells great throughout. Important to note this is a cologne and not an aftershave. They have an aftershave as well (baum) that is very good if you use an aftershave.
This is an outstanding fragrance. It doesn't overpower everyone and it doesn't smell like alchohol. Just a hint of patchouli. Amazingly, it's very inexpensive too. My wife loves it.
