Cons: Hard to apply
Not a big fan of this lip balm. It is hard to apply (very dry) and tends to leave a white/silvery residue on your lips.

Almost great, but...
February 10, 2010
Cons: Unpleasant smell, Hard to apply
Doesn't moisturize nearly as good as other Burt's Bees lip balms, is hard to apply (the product itself is very hard), and actually makes my lips a little dry. And frankly, the smell givesme a headache. Still far better than any other brand lip balm though, so I'll definitely keep purchasing it.

Only Chapstick To Use
February 1, 2010
Pros: Easy to apply, Absorbed quickly, Smells great
I can't say I have a preference for any of the Burt's Bees chapsticks, but I usually purchase this one for the added sun protection. I don't find it to be thicker, it replenishes and heals my lips, and protects them from the sun! I even put it on a patch of dry skin on the back of my hand for temporary instant relief, and it worked like a miracle. And when I can't find it and use a different brand- by the middle of the day I have put on the other brand over three times! Highly recommended.

fantastic product, but with a few drawbacks
December 31, 2009
Pros: Absorbed quickly, Smells great
Cons: Hard to apply
i really love this lip balm. it's moisturizing, leaves lips nice and smooth, the scent is divine, and the SPF is perfect for people who enjoy the outdoors and the sunny weather. my one concern though is when applying it to my lips, it's a bit hard, like i have to apply with a heavier hand than other Burt's Bees balms. it also leaves a bit of a white residue behind, like my lips look a little whiter/duller after each use. the pros outweigh the cons though, it really is a great product. i would most certainly recommend to friends.

Nice scent
November 16, 2009
Pros: Smells great
Cons: Hard to apply
I love Burt's lip products and was eager to give this a try since I spend lots of time outside and need SPF. The scent was great, but the thick consistency makes it hard to apply. I also wish that the SPF was at least the recommended 15.

Pros: Easy to apply, Absorbed quickly, Smells great
I'm a surfer and I have spent hundreds of dollars over the years trying to protect my lips from the sun. The best before this was zinc oxide, but it turns my lips white or whatever other color they put in it. Now I use this. It protects well enough and I really love the smell and the consistency. It feels great on my lips and the nice smell floats around for a long time. I'm a convert. I just wish that it were a little cheaper.

Great Lip Balm
September 4, 2009
Pros: Easy to apply
I choose this lip balm specifically because it contains SPF. It is actually very difficult to find a decent lip balm with SPF which is surprising because it is so important to protect your lips from the sun. This product is great because it is affordable, moisturizes, and protects.

I really liked the pomegranate lip balm so I was surprised how much more I liked this one with passionfruit. I use this everyday, very moisturizing and it goes on smooth and last a long time.

Good for trips!
September 2, 2009
Pros: Absorbed quickly, Smells great
I like this lip balm, though I must admit, when I use it, I use it in conjunction with another lip balm like the Pomegranate or the Honey balms. I do this because it is not as rich or smooth to apply as the others.
Otherwise, it's a great, fruity smelling balm that was perfect for my Grand Canyon trip. It did what it said and protected them from the sun. :)

Funny feeling on my lips
August 30, 2009
Cons: Unpleasant smell, unpleasant feeling
I love BB regular lip balm. Thought I'd give this a try to protect my lips from the summer sun. Didn't care for the odd thick feeling on my lips, and it had an unpleasant smell, at least compared to the original minty fragrance.

Fantastic Natural Lip Balm
August 30, 2009
Pros: Easy to apply, Absorbed quickly, Smells great
I do agree that it would be a huge upgrade if the SPF was higher. And I would love to see the addition of a more nurturing oil, like the Pomegranate Oil in the other lip balm, which I wanted but didn't get because it didn't have SPF protection. I didn't like having to choose one advantage over the other.
Other than that, I love this lip balm. People don't realize the importance of protecting the lips from the damaging affects of the sun.
The lip balm is not dependent and lips are left very hydrated. I put it on at night, and wake up with hydrated lips, which was never the case before. During the day it's perfect.

Best Ever Lip Protectant
August 30, 2009
Pros: Easy to apply, Absorbed quickly
This is a great product, I can spend all day outside, reapplying a few times and feel confident that my lips won't burn or peel. It is slightly white in color when on, but not noticeable enough to look weird.

I really, really like this stuff... BUT pleeeeeeease make SPF coverage available in your color shades! This doesn't spread all that well, but the moisturizing & color tints should fix that problem in a jiffy. Please, please--next summer, make SPF in your colors??!!
