I love this cleanser

Pros: Deep cleaning, Smells great
I am in my 20's and had a mild case of acne for the first time. I tried a lot of cleaners but this one really did the job. I love it. I saw result in a week. This really works.

Not for me...

Pros: Deep cleaning
Cons: Texture, Unpleasant smell
I have acne prone skin (although it has mostly cleared up since I started using Burt's Bees products) so I thought I'd try this one. Quite a bit different than I expected. It seemed a little harsh and WAY to runny/ liquidly and dried out my skin like crazy, also I didn't care for the smell. I won't be using this product again but I would recommend it to someone who has very oily skin.

Wonderful Acne Cleanser

Pros: Texture, Deep cleaning
Works really well to fight blemishes, does dry out my skin though, so I follow it up with a cleansing lotion- I wouldn't want to really go without it though, it really helps maintain balance in my skin. I love that this cleanser doesn't have harmful toxins or carcinogens in it! Works well and doesn't jeopardize my health.

Cons: Did not cleanse as expected, Texture, Unpleasant smell, dried my skin, left a film, watery texture, Hard to apply
This cleanser did nothing for me at all. I was really hoping that it would work for me, but all it did was dry out my skin, and left a film when i rinsed it off. It didn't do anything for my acne, and with the entire system, i broke out MORE than before. I've had to switch back to proactive to try to recover my skin from this. I'm sorry I don't like giving bad reviews, but honestly, I won't try any skin products again from Burt's bees. I love their shampoos and conditioners though!

smells great, does a good job of cleansing skin & removing impurities. very gentle, not too drying.
my only complaint is that it's kind of runny/thin, as in, it slips through your fingers & is hard to actually apply to your face.
also agree with a previous reviewer who suggested switching between this cleanser and a more powerful acne cleanser (that's what i do). by itself, not really strong enough to be effective against acne, but it's awesome as an every-other-day cleanser to restore moisture & keep skin clean.
recommended, just not every day.

I have acne prone, oily/combination, and sensitive skin. I love this cleanser!!!! I have finally found a great cleanser that cleans my oily/acne prone skin without over drying and irritation. Since I started using this cleanser my skin looks more clear, my acne and blemishes are starting to fade away and for some reason my skin looks more healthy and bright. I always recommend this cleanser to anyone that asks what I am using on my skin. I feel like I am able to look at someone while they are talking to me without wondering if they are staring at my acne. YAY! for for this cleanser

I have been struggling with acne for many years, many products dry out my skin, but not this product. It does leave my skin feeling great and healthy, BUT it dose not work too great on my acne. This product is good as long as you alternate day and night between burts bees and a stronger acne cleanser.

I have always loved burts bees moisturizers but cleansers have never seemed to do the job. I got pretty excited when i saw this acne targeted product.
Although it leaves my skin amazingly soft and healthy looking, i did start to break out just a few days after use. I used my regular cleanser again, I got cleared up, and really wanted to give the acne cleanser another shot! but it let me down a second time. boo. i find the best way to use BB cleansers is to alternate night and day between a more powerful one and a burts bees one. Then you can still stay clean but get that burts bees skin revival.
Although it leaves my skin amazingly soft and healthy looking, i did start to break out just a few days after use. Great for oily skin.

I have extremely oily skin but this really helps keep that under control. I've been using it for a few weeks now and have noticed my skin getting less and less oily. I'm using the entire Natural Solutions Acne line, plus the clay mask. I also noticed my pores are much smaller (I have large ones around my nose, cheeks, and on my forehead), my usual blackheads are disappearing, and I've only had one new blemish since I starting using everything. I usually get 2-3 news ones each week. I really like it.

Great for Oily Skin

I have been using this product for a little over a month. I get the occasional breakout or two, but have super oily skin. I love that a little goes a long way (still more than half of my first bottle). I wash with this every day, and twice a week using a facial sponge to exfoliate. My skin feels squeaky clean without the dryness. The radiance lotion with SPF 15 goes on smooth. My skin is still oily, but looks glowy instead of greasy. The overall appearance of my skin has changed: it looks much healthier and supple since using BB products. Whether coincidence or not, two coworkers have commented on my "perfect skin" in the same timeframe. What I used to refer to as an oil slick is now being called "perfect skin". Huh...thanks, Burt!

best acne solution i've ever used

I'm 31 and have had acne for 20 years. I have tried everything, including regular visits with a dermatologist. I recently decided that maybe the problem is all the chemicals I've been using. Within 1 week of using the acne gel wash, blemish stick and acne moisturizer, my skin cleared and looks incredible!

My favorite face wash!

I have combination skin (oily in some places and dry in others) and I have never been able to find a face wash that I loved. Until I found this! I first started using the chapstick (loved it) then I wanted to see what other products Burt's Bees had, and I came across this. I bought it, and I love this!! It's the only face wash that works for me, and I will continue to use this stuff until the day I die!!

These products are great. My skin looks soft and healthy. These are great for people who need gentle exfoliation.To respond to those who claim these products caused cystic acne, cystic acne is a result of hormonal imbalances and excessive sebum production. Talk to your dermatologist about antibiotics and medications to regulate hormones.

Caused me to have Comedones

I used the whole system thinking that if I were to try this, it would be best to use all products. I have been doing the system for 3 months. The 1st month I liked my results. This soap feels clean & feels like it cleans your skin & doesn't leave a residue. HOWEVER, it made my skin feel tight after washing. When I used the whole system, my acne cleared, however over 2 months my face began to get REALLY oily a few hours after the products were applied & the oil would not stop all day after blotting with tissue. 3 months into using the whole system, I began to develop Comedonal acne, and am not using cosmetics. The hard-sand-paper bumps on my chin, nose, & forehead were getting worse. Then I got my first cyst on my forehead, and haven't had one in years from using Benzoyl Peroxide products. For sensitive, combination skin, I do not think these products work. For comedonal factors, I don't think a tight cleanser is good for sensitive/acne-prone skin. From what I have learned, if a cleanser makes your skin feel tight after washing, it is stripping the natural oils, thus creating more oil production, which is what happened to me. I also saw more blackheads on my nose, which is a prone spot on my face, after using this system for 3 months. This product also does not state that it's PH Balanced, which is important with cleansers.

Is it supposed to work right away?

i started using this cleanser and at first i couldnt really see a difference but then like two weeks later i started breaking out like CRAZY!
i never had acne just like clumps of zits, esp on my forehead but using this stuff made me get a lot of zits everywhere. now i am pretty sure i have acne.
my friends say some acne solutions make you break out at first. but based on the reviews i dont think this is supposed to.
