Love this stuff!
January 17, 2012
Hubby got it for my first pregnancy and I begged for it for #2! Excellent for sensitive skin and doesn't burn or irritate broken skin (like from razor burn). Creamy, coating and wonderfully moisturizing! No stretch marks from the 1st pregnancy and so far none from #2! Highly recommend!!!

NO STRETCH MARKS!!
January 1, 2012
I received the belly balm as a gift during my 1st trimester, it was THE BEST GIFT i could have wished for! i now have a 5 mo old baby girl, and during my pregnancy i used the belly balm twice a day religiously BELIEVE me when i say i have ZERO stretch marks!! most of the reviews point out that it is hard to apply, PLEASE dont let that stop u from using it!! Its a small price to pay for a lifetime of strechmark free belly! All i did was use the top of my fingernail to ?scoop up? plenty of balm and applied it generously, it is a bit greasy, but again, DONT let that stop you from using it, i just used a tank top under my clothes and problem solved. PLEASE USE IT!!!!!

AMAZING
August 17, 2011
I have been using this for about a week on my belly, boobs and hips before I go to bed. This product is absolutely amazing. It isn't greasy at all and soaks right into the skin without leaving residue on your clothes. I love that this product is fragrance free and that all the ingredients are completely natural! I don't have to worry about my sensitive skin breaking out or getting a rash. I will continue to use throughout my entire pregnancy and afterwards as well!

Wonderful gift to expecting daughter!!
August 6, 2011
Wonderful gift for expecting couple to not only help mom soothe stretching skin, but to let dad join in on making her comfortable early on! Great bonding activity for relaxing at night and as time goes by, for dad to feel the baby move while gently massaging her belly!
Mama Bee Nourishing Oil is also a wonderful massage tool for feet (would not recommend calves in pregnancy), put some comfy socks on your partner afterward, and help keep her tired feet moisturized!

No itchiness or stretch marks yet!
August 4, 2011
This works much better than the belly butter, and it has NO fragrance (which means no skin reaction for me!). Some complain that its greasy(because it IS super moisturizing), but if you massage it in and then use a cloth to wipe off the excess (like you do after you get a massage at the spa) there is no "greasy" residue. I'm left with a perfectly hydrated belly for well over 12 hours. I've been using the Balm since I was 3 months along, I am now 8 months and no itchiness or stretch marks yet!

I used this throughout my recent pregnancy and loved it. Some reviews have mentioned it is a bit greasy but I applied it every night after showering and it was great! No stretch marks for me, highly recommended!

Nothing compared to the belly butter
June 12, 2011
I used the Burts Bees Belly Butter with my first child and LOVE and I mean LOVED it! It was so soothing, the smell was very nice, and it made my stomach feel very moisturized and not the least bit greasy. I ended up with one small stretch mark on my belly after my son was born.
After I got pregnant with my second child I went to find the belly butter and found it discontinued? I got the belly balm thinking it would be just as good. I am not impressed. It feels like Crisco being smeared on my belly. Its VERY greasy and is not refreshing at all. I love burts bees but absolutely hate the belly balm...what a disappointment. If you are looking for this to be anything like the belly butter its definitely nothing like it. What a shame! Please bring the belly butter back!

I used the " Belly Butter" during my first pregnancy and loved it. The Belly Butter formula was a great moisturizer for my belly. I just found out is was discontinued. I really hope it is brought back. The Belly Balm is ok and works, but not as good as the Belly Butter.

Excellent for Mom's to be... bellies
April 17, 2011
I just love this product, just finished my 1st can, and now purchasing another. I tried cocoa butter for itching skin, but the odor made me very naseaus. This balm is fragrance free, and absorbs in the skin, not sticky or greasy feeling after rubbing it in. Other products I tried, my belly would still itch. This product prevented the itching, and scratching. Love it! From a pregnant mom to another, its Amazing.

Can't Live Without Mama Bee(R) Belly Balm
January 28, 2011
Pros: Relaxing
I used other products before receiving this one as a gift. Even products more expensive than this one. Mama Bee(R) Belly Balm is the perfect product for growing tummy! It doesn't get all over your clothes and no crazy smell. It works wonders for the itch tummy as it starts to grow. I can apply in the morning and it works all day! Best product in the world! Can't live without it.

Best Penatal Purchase!
January 4, 2011
Pros: Relaxing
I recently found out that I was pregnate and when I was shopping at the maternity store the lady recommended Mama Bee Belly Balm. I admiit it is a little on the difficult side to apply and would be much better in a stick but I like it just the same. Since it's hard to get out I make my husband get in there and spread it all over me in the morning. It stays on the skin so I wear a tanktop under all my clothes that way I retain the moisture better. It seems to to be wonderful, no unpleasant smell, holds moisture, haven't had any stretch marks, and haven't been itchy. And the best thing is I get to have my husband help.

Fabulous, best Burts Bees product yet
December 31, 2010
Pros: Relaxing, Smells great
This balm is fantastic. Some other reviews quote the product as hard to use, but the texture is supposed to be similar to salve-don't have to use a lot, but it goes a long way. The scent is light and natural, and I haven't seen a single new stretch mark since using the Belly Balm. Some of my old stretch marks have disappeared as well!

It works!!!
December 20, 2010
Pros: Relaxing, Smells great
It's our first baby and I was very worried about stretch marks, I use this all over my body and I am happy to report back I have not seen a single mark. I started using this as soon as I found out we were having a baby. I love the fact it's keeps my body moist the whole day, I was worried about the winter dry air. I also wear tank tops under my other tops and it works great.

Disappointing
December 13, 2010
Cons: difficult to use
Difficult to apply - maybe if it were in a stick like chap stick it would be OK, but I've given up using it. Wish the belly butter hadn't been discontinued. I'm using regular body butter instead.

Frustrating
November 11, 2010
Pros: Smells great
Cons: hard to spread
It is really hard to get anything into your hand to spread on your belly, let alone anywhere else. What happened to the belly butter? It takes forever to spread. I am disappointed! The smell is pleasant. I think that is important for pregnant women.

Too stiff
October 20, 2010
Like many others, I dislike the consistency of this balm. It is like a stiff chapstick. Actually, if it came in a stick form, it would be great, because it does make my skin very soft. Since it is in a tin, it takes a very long time to get my belly covered, so I rarely use it.

Not the same as belly butter
October 5, 2010
I bought the Belly Butter and looooved it! After it was out, I couldn't find it anywhere and searched the Burts website to realize it has been discontinued. I went ahead and bought the Belly Balm but the consistency is similar to vaseline. I think as I get further into my pregnancy, the balm will be great for nighttime use but it is just too slimy to use before getting dressed in the morning. I found online that the Body Butter with Macadamia Nut is the same solution as the Belly Butter. I read through the ingredients and it seems to be almost identical. I bought 3 of them today from Burts Bees and will use that in the morning and will use the balm before bed.

Purchased to prevent stretch marks, deep moisture
September 30, 2010
Pros: smooth texture for skin
I purchased this item because I was looking for a deep moisturizer that was all natural and would prevent stretch marks. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized several hours after application. It's a little waxy but I think it's improved the texture of my skin, smoothing some areas out. At first, it was difficult to get out of the tin. I used my hair dryer to heat it up for a few seconds making it much easier to apply!
I'm not pregnant but have a gained a few pounds. I am in my late 20s and have noticed some small stretch marks appearing on my hips. My hips are the first place I gain and lose weight, usually as a result from running or not running. Most moisturizers do not leave my skin feeling moisturized for long. So I thought I'd try moisturizers for expecting mothers, figuring being pregnant is one of the most physical demanding events on the body and skin. For my purpose, I've liked it so far. Going to keep watching other reviews to see if it prevented stretch marks on others, as well as myself. If I see positive results, this will be a moisturizer I will want to use if I do become pregnant.
